Juice Flavor: Tuscan Cocoa
PG/VG: I believe that since it is from their purity line, it is 100% vg
What Heather's Heavenly Vapes says about it:
Why did we replace our Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows with our new Tuscan Cocoa? Simple, never satisfied, we went on the hunt for the best cocoa chocolate and after a long search, we finally found it! This new cocoa takes it's name a region in Italy which produces some of the finest chocolate in the world. Tuscan Cocoa is worthy of it's name. It is amazingly complex with notes of both fresh cocoa powder and rich chocolate with a fresh cream undertone. It is simply the best chocolate vape we've ever tasted. This flavor is part of our Purity line. All flavor ingredients in our Purity line are propylene glycol (PG) free which is why we can offer this particular vape in your favorite PG/VG ratio including 100% organic VG if desired.
Testing Equipment:
510 XL 2.5 ohm carto
i-taste set at 4.0 (I'll review the i-taste at another time, I'm busy with this review now!!)
First Impressions:
This juice comes in a plastic bottle with a simple label that states only the juice name - cute purple cap though! The juice is very thin with a slight caramel color (I'm going to assume it's a natural color since this is an organic juice.) A quick whiff lets you know that there should be some chocolately goodness inside. Since the juic is very thin, it was readily absorbed into the cartomizer filler with no issue whatsover. Filling was surprisingly quick.
Vaping Impressions:
I originally had my i-taste set at 3.7, which is my standard starting point. After a quick little puff, I was able to instantly taste chocolate. I cranked my i-taste to 4.3. TOO HIGH! I think I melted the chocolate. So I backed down a 4.0, which seems like a sweet spot for this particular juice.
After a long, gentle drag, I did a full inhale. The throat hit was extremely negligible (could be due to the lack of PG in it as 12mg nicotine is my usual nic level and I've had much throatier hits than this). Hold it, hold it. Slow exhale through mouth and nose. Decent vapor production, but I've had better. I'd say its middle of the road (could be due to whatever they thin their vg with since 100% VG usually gives me tons of vapor). Yep, there is definitely some chocolate going on there!
So now I walk away for a moment and let my taste buds refresh.
After another full inhale and slow nose/mouth exhale, I'm able to truly appreciate the flavor. Immediately, I noticed cocoa powder. It reminds me of dipping a pinky into a can of Hershey's Cocoa and licking it off. Remember doing that as a kid? You either loved it or you didn't!
There is a tiny bit of sweetness to it but not the overwhelmingly type that sticks to the back of your throat for hours on end. There is a slight creamy cocoa aftertaste with a tiny bit of bitterness (it's nice). It's more chocolately than a yoohoo, but not quite like a tootsie roll. This is more of a dark chocolate flavor. I like.
Final Impression:
Lovely tasting juice. Just enough chocolate to satisfy a chocolate craving but not enough to leave your mouth tasting icky. I don't think this could be an all day vape for me, but I plan on enjoying it in the morning with a steaming hot cup of coffee. I'm not overly thrilled with the amount of vapor even though I took long, slow drags.
ESP gives this juice a thumbs up!
So there you have it, my first juice review. That was kinda fun and no niccups! If you think it's missing anything, let me know how to make the next one better!
